In partnership with The Houston Food Bank and with the support of Be Well™ Baytown and the United Way of GBACC, Hearts & Hands of Baytown conducts outside distributions in a drive-thru or walk-up setting.

Our neighbors are invited to receive fresh produce, meat, milk, and assorted groceries (as available) for their households.

Goose Creek CISD has reviewed the latest weather information and participated in a regional call with local meteorologists and area officials. During the call, meteorologists advised area school districts of the potential for significant weather impacts on Tuesday. Based on their guidance and the current forecast, school and all after-school activities for Tuesday, September 1, are canceled.

District leaders will continue to monitor weather conditions and will provide an update on school status for Wednesday, September 2, by 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 1.

It’s Big Kahuna Fundraiser Time! 🎉

Please help support Travis PTO through our Big Kahuna Fundraiser! Your support allows PTO to continue providing special experiences and extras for our students, teachers, and staff throughout the school year.

Thanks to the support of our Travis families, PTO was able to do so much last year, including providing monthly snacks for all students and staff, purchasing DARE graduation shirts for our 5th graders, supporting Field Day activities, and so much more! 🧡🐯

📅 Important Fundraiser Dates:
• Sept. 2, 9, 16 & 18: PTO will be at student lunches to exchange “sold” tickets for collectibles
• Sept. 15: Order forms and money are due
• Sept. 22: Online store sales close
• Oct. 1: Fundraiser orders will be delivered to Travis

🎉 Monster Party Limo Experience!
Students who sell 15 items individually will earn the opportunity to participate in the Monster Party Limo experience!

Have siblings at Travis? Travis siblings who sell a combined total of 20 items will both get to participate in the Monster Party Limo experience!

A sweet treat to end a busy week! 🍦

Our Travis staff works incredibly hard each and every day, so this afternoon called for a little ice cream sandwich pick-me-up! 🧡

Learning comes alive when our Tigers get talking! 🐯📚

Students in Ms. Contreras’ 4th grade homeroom engaged in meaningful student discourse as they worked together to classify objects based on the properties of matter. We love seeing our Tigers share their thinking, explain their reasoning, and learn from one another! 🐾🐯🧡

We are excited to celebrate our annual Grandparents Day Lunch Celebrations at Travis on September 10 and 11! Your child’s celebration date will depend on their grade level.

Thursday, September 10:
Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, and SILC

Friday, September 11:
1st Grade, 3rd Grade, 5th Grade, and Life Skills

On their designated day, students will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch with their GRANDPARENTS ONLY, and up to 4 grandparents may attend per child.. We look forward to welcoming our Travis grandparents and celebrating the special role they play in our Tigers’ lives!

*The form has space to RSVP 4 grandparents. If you have only one grandparent attending, please put N/A or skip the remaining questions on the form for any additional grandparents.

Please remember that grandparents must be listed as student contact for your child on Parent Portal. They can be added by going to Student Registration, click on the Contacts tab, and then click Add Contact. Once that’s complete, they should appear in Parent Portal on your child’s emergency contact list.

To help make check-in as quick and smooth as possible, we strongly encourage any grandparents who have never had their driver’s license or ID scanned at Travis to stop by the front office prior to our Grandparents Day Lunch Celebrations. Our receptionists can scan their ID ahead of time so their sticker badge can be prepared in advance. This will help reduce wait times on the day of the celebration and allow grandparents to enjoy as much lunch time as possible with their Tiger(s)!

Please note: All grandparents will still need to bring their driver’s license or photo ID with them on the day of the celebration for verification before receiving their sticker badge. 🐾🐯🧡
