A huge thank you to Mambo Seafood for providing lunch for all our staff today. This helped make the first Friday of the year extra special! 🍤🍽️ We are so thankful for their generosity as they wanted to say “thank you” to our teachers and staff. Hi parents!

We are so excited to see all our students back on campus! To help our mornings and afternoons run as smoothly as possible for everyone, we have a few friendly reminders to share:

🚗**Pick-Up Time:** Please remember to have your Car Rider Tags clearly displayed. This helps us get your kiddos to you quickly and safely!

🚶**Walkers:** Great news— the walker gate is fixed! It will open at 8:10 AM and lock at 8:35 AM.

⏰**Arrivals:** If your student arrives after 8:40 AM, please park and walk them inside to the front office to sign them in.

🍲**Lunch & Visitors:** We are focusing on getting students settled into their routines first, so we will begin welcoming lunch drop-offs and visitors starting September 8th.

🏫**Portable Classrooms:** For our students in the outside portable classrooms, if they happen to be running late, please be sure to head to the front office first to sign them in. Similarly, if you’re dropping off a lunch for them, just bring it to the front office and we will ensure it gets delivered!

🎒**Nightly Prep:** We encourage you to help your student pack & prepare the night before to ensure they have everything they need for a successful day.

Our wonderful staff have been working hard to get Harlem Elementary ready for a new school year! ✨ From our back-to-school bulletin boards to our creatively decorated hallways, our staff put so much time and effort into making our campus feel welcoming and fun! 🪐📚

From health and wellness to special education, literacy, technology, mathematics, and more, several of our amazing educators even had the opportunity to lead sessions and share their expertise with others.

One of our former roadrunners, Esteban, spoke at our GCCISD convocation today! His speech was incredible and motivating. He spoke about how our teachers poured into him and taught him that being bilingual was a special superpower!

We’re excited to see all that Esteban will continue to accomplish with the love and support of his family and our GC family. Way to go!
