π September is Su***de Prevention Month π
At Cedar Bayou Junior School, we believe that you can make a difference. Sometimes, a simple conversation, a listening ear, or letting someone know you care can mean more than you realize.
This month, we encourage our CBJ community to SEE IT. SUPPORT IT. SAVE A LIFE.
π Know the signs. Look for changes in mood, behavior, routines, friendships, sleep, school performance, or comments about feeling hopeless, trapped, or like a burden.
π¬ Start a conversation. A simple βHow are you really doing?β can open the door to support.
π Listen without judgment. Sometimes, being present and allowing someone to share is the most important thing you can do.
π Show you care. Small acts of kindness and regular check-ins can make a big difference.
π€ Encourage help. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
If you are a CBJ student who is struggling or concerned about a friend, please reach out to your grade-level counselor or another trusted adult at school. You don't have to face difficult moments alone.
π 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 for free, confidential, 24/7 support.
It's OK to not be OK. Asking for help is a sign of strength. π
