Baking is not just a fun activity….
As children measure, mix, pour, and observe, they build early math skills, strengthen fine motor coordination, learn to follow steps in order, expand their vocabulary, and make predictions about what will happen next. Every recipe is a hands-on science experiment and a meaningful learning experience.
Our 1st graders brought their Hebrew names to life through a special Kriyah project, learning the meaning behind their names and connecting their reading skills to their Jewish identity. What a beautiful way to celebrate how every name carries a story, a blessing, and a spark of who we are.
A year of 3k! What an amazing experience it was to have these sweet children as our students this year! Off to pre-k they go!
At the beginning of the year, our Good Morning Greeting Flower helped the pre-k students learn each other’s names.
By the end of the year, it became a ritual of connection.
Each child greets the person who passed them the flower and the person they pass it to next. A simple practice that builds eye contact, confidence, belonging, and community one good morning at a time. 🌼
