Join us at the Bayonne Public Library for Family Yoga with ! This is a monthly Saturday class from 10-11 am in the Gallery. This class will meet on the following days:

January 10th
February 21st
March 14th
April 18th
May 2nd
June 6th
September 19th
October 17th
November 14th
December 5th

Family Yoga will incorporate whole body movement yoga with a special storytime! All ages, skill levels, and ability levels are welcome. Advanced registration is required. Since this event is for families, please register ALL people who will be attending, not just the children.

You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or you can borrow one that the library will provide. Get ready for a fun family time!

Join us at the Bayonne Public Library on Thursday, October 15th at 6:30 pm in the Gallery for a special performance of “A Tell-Tale Tale” by Bright Star Theatre!

No one tells a story quite like the Great Edgar Allan Poe. In “A Tell-Tale Tale”, these spooky & clever stories and poems come to life before your very eyes! With a mastery of language that few can match, Edgar Allan Poe’s stories and poems are as impactful today as they were in the 19th century when they were written. Stories include “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Raven,” “The Bells” and more!

This 45 minute live show - played by just two actors! - is open to all ages, but is best appreciated by audiences ages 6 and up. No advanced registration is required. We hope to see you there!

Join us at the Bayonne Public Library for a very special Therapy Dog Story Time! This program will take place on Tuesday, October 27th from 6-7 pm in the Children’s Room.

Learn about therapy dogs and meet Harper the Therapy Dog! Her handler, Marc, will read his new children’s book Harper Helps: A Therapy Dog’s Tale!

This workshop, for ages 13 and up, will let you get in touch with your creative side as you create your very own beautiful hardcover bound book! Whether you make a sketch book, a journal, an art book, or something else…the choice is yours! All materials are provided - just bring yourself and get inspired!

Join us at the Bayonne Public Library for a monthly Family Game Night! This event will run on Mondays from 6:30-8 pm in the Children’s Room on the following dates:

October 19th
November 16th
December 7th
January 25th
February 22nd
March 8th

It will be a night full of fun, laughter, and tons of family-friendly games! We’ll have games for a wide variety of ages to enjoy together including Magnatiles, Cards Against Humanity Family Edition, Dominoes, Flip 7, Jenga, Tapple, Count Your Chickens!, Hurry Up Chicken Butt, Noodle Knockout, Outfoxed!, Sushi Go, Moose Master, Creature Crash, Find My Behind, and more!

Join the Bayonne Historical Society at the Bayonne Public Library on Tuesday, October 13th at 7 pm in the Gallery for a special presentation: “Bayonne’s Shorelines: Past, Present, and Future”!

This presentation will be given by Bayonne Historical Society Trustee and Bayonne Nature Club co-founder Michael Ruscigno. He will discuss his time with the Bayonne Nature Club and how he has seen the shorelines of Bayonne change throughout his 30 years living in Bayonne.

Mike moved to Bayonne in 1996 and he & his wife, Patricia Hilliard, found a nice apartment to rent. Shortly after, he was impressed with the city’s extensive coastline. He explored Bayonne’s coast more and saw the skeletons of sunken ships at 5th St. Park. He was even more intrigued! He had been a merchant marine for four years. Eventually, Mike and Patricia co-founded the Bayonne Nature Club, which has led bird walks and shoreline cleanups in Bayonne’s many Parks. Mike’s reverence for and interest in Bayonne’s coastlines still continues today…and he imagines for them an even better future!

Join us at the Bayonne Public Library for an opportunity to meet other families who home school their children. This monthly event will be on Wednesdays from 2-3 pm in the Small Programming Room on the following dates:

October 14th
November 18th
December 16th
Advanced registration is recommended but not required. Walk-ins will be accommodated if space permits. Bring a packed lunch and spend time learning together!
A representative from ENJOY Homeschool New Jersey will be available to answer questions and provide information about homeschooling for attendees.
