HeartWorks HeartWorks is a 501©(3) nonprofit community service agency in Bayboro, North Carolina

HeartWorks’ largest offering, our 21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool and Summer Learning Program has grown in scope and volume to better serve 250 students each year. Programming includes academic lessons, life skills development, the promotion of positive physical and mental health, and family advocacy. Through HeartWorks family advocacy initiatives, we strive to promote positive parenting skills, reduce violence and anger in family members, and involve parents/guardians in the daily activities of their children. It is from the efforts and outreach of all of our programs that we hope to explore the dynamics of our most troubled families and provide the guidance and resources needed to stop the cycles of poverty, abuse, and violence. From consistent contact with parents and guardians and an increased number of family activities, positive results are possible.
