Pamlico County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for all students and staff on Monday, October 19, 2026.

Due to rising water levels and continued flooding anticipated on area roadways, this decision has been made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our school community. Please stay safe!

Beautiful faces, but even more beautiful hearts! 💛

These incredible students are so much more than the smiles you see in these photos. They are accomplished, talented, compassionate, and kind young people who make Pamlico County High School a special place.

Each brings something wonderful to our school, and we couldn't be prouder of the people they are becoming.

Congratulations to Sydney Whitley Reese and Quamori "Chop" Miller your 26-27 PCHS Homecoming Queen and King along with their court, second runner up Divinity Whitehurst and first runner up Brylea Hardison.

Please share to make sure everyone sees!

Pamlico County Schools would like to welcome our alumni home.

Things may look a little different this year, but the heart of Pamlico County remains the same. Buildings may change, traditions may grow, and generations may come and go, but the memories, pride, and legacy we share will always connect us. No matter where life takes us, we will always have a place to call home.

To our alumni who still call Pamlico County home, we can't wait to see you at the game! And to those traveling from near and far, we wish you safe travels as you make your way back to the place where so many wonderful memories began.

Whether you graduated five years ago or fifty, we hope this Homecoming brings familiar faces, warm embraces, plenty of laughter, and a chance to make a few new memories along the way.

From all of us at Pamlico County Schools, welcome home!

The energy, the excitement, the BLACK AND GOLD!!!! Our Hurricanes brought the school spirit today to kick off our 2026 Homecoming game!

It was a throw back to days of old, having the pep rally on the field for the first time in years! From the cheers and laughter to the fun and games - it was a memorable day!

From a wig sn**ch, a mash up of a three legged race and pizza box steal, to the tug of war tradition between the classes (Juniors won!) and of course the Spirit Stick battle!! (Seniors prevailed!)

Check out the full photo album and see if you can spot any familiar faces!

🎓💜💛 Exploring the Possibilities at ECU!

On Friday, October 9, a group of Pamlico County High School seniors traded their familiar hallways for the campus of East Carolina University!

Led by ECU student tour guides, our seniors explored campus, visited academic buildings, and got a firsthand glimpse of college life.

With graduation getting closer, experiences like this help turn thoughts of "what's next?" into exciting possibilities!
