We recognize that this campus holds many years of memories for former students, staff, families, and members of our community. As the district moves forward with this process, we are committed to providing clear and accessible information to the public.

A dedicated webpage has been created with information regarding the property, the sale process, important dates, requirements, and other relevant details.

Before we say a final goodbye to this campus, Pamlico County Schools is also planning a Last Walk Through event, giving former students, staff, families, and community members an opportunity to visit the school and walk its halls once more.

Details about the Last Walk Through will be shared in the near future, so please watch for additional information.

Sometimes generosity comes without a name attached!

We recently received a wonderful donation of school supplies at the Pamlico County Schools Central Office from a community member who chose to remain anonymous. These supplies will be put to good use supporting students across our district as we begin the new school year.

Although we may not know who you are, we want you to know how much your kindness is appreciated. Thank you for thinking of our students and for helping make sure they have what they need to learn and succeed!

We are fortunate to be part of a community that continues to show up for our schools and our students. 💛🖤

💛🖤 Community Support Makes a Difference!

A special thank you to the Oriental Rotary Club for its generous donation to the Pamlico County High School Student Services Clothing Closet!

Kelly Messikomer, Youth Services Chair, organized the clothing drive as part of the Rotary Club’s ongoing support of Pamlico County Schools, with fellow Rotarians generously donating items for our students.

We are grateful for community partners like the Oriental Rotary Club who continually step up to support our schools and help meet the needs of our students. Thank you, Kelly and fellow Rotarians, for your generosity and continued commitment to Pamlico County Schools!

🎒✏️ Thank You, Pamlico Correctional Institution! 📚🖍️

Pamlico County Schools extends a heartfelt thank you to Pamlico Correctional Institution for its generous donation of school supplies for our students!

The donated supplies were sorted, divided among our schools, and delivered to help ensure students across the district have the tools they need for a successful school year.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners who continue to show their support for our schools and, most importantly, the children and future of Pamlico County.

From our littlest learners at Pamlico County Primary School, to Fred A. Anderson Elementary, and all the way to our students settling into their brand-new PCMS/PCHS, classrooms across Pamlico County Schools were already filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of smiles today.

And a special shoutout to the PCHS Class of 2027, who started their final first day together with Senior Sunrise and showed off those Senior Spirit Jeans!

Thank you to our students, our families, our teachers and staff, and our community for making this day something that we look forward to every single year.

This morning, Ms. Latonya McClellan (PCHS Class of '91) made a little history of her own as she drove the first bus to arrive and unload students at the brand-new PCMS/PCHS building!

What an incredible way to begin a new chapter for Pamlico County Schools.

🚍 Tomorrow is the first day of school! 🚍

Our school buses will be back on the roads, so please be mindful and STOP for our buses when the stop arm is out and the lights are flashing! 🛑

Our buses will be on the road as early as 6:00 AM, making stops throughout the morning, and will be on the roads in the afternoons until around 4:30 PM.

Our students need to get to school and back home safely. Please slow down, pay attention, and give our buses plenty of space. A few extra seconds of patience could save a life! ❤️🚌

Let’s work together to keep our students, drivers, and community safe all school year long! 📚🍎

🚗 New school, new traffic pattern! 🖤💛

As we get ready to open the doors to our brand-new PCMS/PCHS, we’ve got one more new thing to learn - how to get in and out! 😄
Please take a few minutes to check out the traffic flow map before the first day of school. A little advance planning will help keep everyone moving safely and smoothly during arrival and dismissal. Thank you to the Pamlico County Sheriff's Department for providing an officer to help with traffic flow on highway 55!

We know it may take a few days for all of us to get the hang of it, so pack a little patience, follow the signs and directions, and remember - we’re all rookies at this!

We can’t wait to welcome our Hurricanes to their new school!
