We have made it to Raleigh for the 97th North Carolina FFA Convention! Hayley competed today in the Jim Graham Creed Speaking CDE and we are excited to see how she does. Everybody else competes tomorrow and we are here to have fun, meet new friends, and learn more about the amazing organization of FFA.

Our End of Year Ceremony is only two days away!! Our students have worked very hard this year, and it's time for us to recognize those achievements. We hope you all will join us in recognizing these students' accomplishments on Wednesday night, doors open at 5:30 PM, and the ceremony will start at 6:00 PM. Everyone is welcome!!

Our March calendar fundraiser was absolutely amazing, and we had so much support! Now that all the totals are in and calculated, we have the winners! The Grand Prize Donor and winner of $100 is Diane Pike!! The 1st-place student who raised the most money and wins $50 is Emalynn P., the 2nd-place student who wins $25 is Antonio C., and the 3rd-place student who wins $15 is Hayley C.!!

Thank you to everyone who donated or shared a post about our fundraiser. Everything we receive goes directly to our students and helps us give them more opportunities!!

On Saturday, April 11th, our junior and senior horse evaluation teams travel to Martin Community College to compete in the NC FFA State Horse Evaluation Competition.

The competition was tough, but our teams did a great job. The students competing had to judge 3 halter classes and 5 riding classes, all of different styles of riding, then they prepared their reasons on two separate classes to present to a judge. After judging the classes and lunch, our senior team took a written knowledge test and presented two sets of reasons to the judges. Once everything was done, we got to walk through the barns and pet the horses at this beautiful college.

This was the first time each of these members participated in this competition, and we could not be prouder of their hard work and determination. Their placings are as follows.

Junior Team: Hayley C., Emalynn P., And Tayla T.
- 10th place in the state
- 1st place in the Southeast Region
- 1st place in the Seashore Federation
- 4th place overall Middle School Junior Team

- 5th place in the Souteast Region
