Our 4th and 5th grade scientists ran computer simulations this week. The 4th grade geologists studied the interaction of the hydrosphere, geosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere over thousands of years along a coastline. The 5th grade astronomers interpreted a sky map. They observed the position of Earth to the sun and various constellations over a year’s time; which also helped them understand our equinoxes and solstices. They had no idea that summer break actually starts in the spring, and spring break is still technically during the winter season.

Students are enjoying the “Book Buddies” they’ve earned. If you haven’t already, please see the details on the back of your child’s lanyard, sent home this week. Send out 8 email invites for your child to earn their book buddy. There is no obligation to purchase, but when family and friends patronize the school store (even for major retailer gift cards where they already shop), our school retains a percentage. Thank you, Braves!

Dear First and Second Grade Families,
We’ve noticed a bit of confusion regarding our end-of-day dismissal procedures and wanted to share a quick reminder to help keep our students safe and traffic moving smoothly!
Lower Parking Lot: Reserved strictly for Pre-K and Kindergarten pick-up.
1st & 2nd Grade Pick-Up: All 1st and 2nd graders must be picked up via the main pick-up line.
How the Pick-Up Line Works:
Please stay inside your vehicle and pull all the way forward toward the front.
Our staff will bring your child directly to your vehicle and assist them with loading if needed.
When everyone follows these steps, our dismissal runs like clockwork—we’ve timed it, and we can safely load every single child in under 10 minutes! Using the lower lot for older students creates unnecessary delays and backs up traffic for everyone.
Thank you so much for your cooperation and for helping us keep our students safe. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the front office.

Join us on Tuesday, September 8. This is the day following our upcoming four-day weekend.
