Here is a short summary of the meeting on Tuesday night:
All of the funds raised last spring did go to the $7,500.00 we have paid thus far.
If you are asked by the school to travel as a sponsor, your way is paid. If you go with the group on your own, you will have to pay your own way.
We are currently catching up on the due dates for the group due to the teacher changes and covid delays, but each person will cost $1,500.00. As a group, that will be $60,000.00 if all 35 students go. Minus the $7,500.00 =$52,500.00.
Fundraisers are to be many small ones, with an umbrella of Carolyn Applegate asking for corporate donations to sponsor each student. Parents and myself will arrange small fundraisers to pick up other cost. Such as: Chocolate (Currently the students Jordyn and Candace are helping)sales, concessions, crazy sock sales (Currently students, Zoe and Sharon are helping.)Candy sales (Maags are in charge of that) Snow cones…I would appreciate a parent heading up each small fundraiser. I will send a schedule out soon of the concession dates we are designated for.
We have set up a page titled Bayard Tiger Music for updates of information. Please follow Facebook and like the page to be informed.
We are still pending the go fund me page and may use a different means to avoid fees but there will be something like that online or in a bank. Please ask if you have questions. I will do the best I can to answer promptly and correctly. Tomorrow night, 9/10, is the homecoming tailgate sponsored by the concert choir. Hamburgers, baked beans, chips and dessert for 8.00 a plate. Any that want to help us transport, set up, serve, clean up, transport back to the cafeteria are welcome to join. Meet at 5:15 at the elementary school and we will find a spot for you. Homemade dessert sales will be taking place too and the money for each dessert will be credited to the student of the parent or guardian who made that dessert. Please price and student name each dessert accordingly. I will document and take the funds to the office Monday morning.
Thank you to all!
