Media Day for the Bay Lady Yellow Jackets Softball Team!

Today our players had the opportunity to sit down for an interview during NEA Sports Media Day to talk about the 2026 Lady Yellow Jackets Softball season, the growth of the program, and what this team is working to build together.

We appreciate NEA Sports and KJNB Radio for supporting local high school athletics and giving our players a chance to represent the Bay community.

We’re excited for what’s ahead.

🏅MVP Award 10/7: Mae’cee Washington🏅
Mae’cee was on fire last week going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a walk, two singles, and a hard-hit double. She also showed off her speed by stealing 6 bases. She made some big plays on defense—including a nice pop fly catch and a smooth backhand stop at short to get the out a home! For these reasons, the team nominated Mae’cee to be our MVP of the night. 💜💛

Last week, the Jr. High Lady Jackets picked up one win and faced their first loss of the season. Every game is an opportunity to learn and grow. Win or lose, these girls continue to show great effort and progress every week.

🏅MVP Award 9/30: Jacey Lowery🏅
Last week, Jacey dominated on both sides of the ball! She went 3-for-3 at the plate with two singles and a double, had multiple stolen bases, and was flawless on defense with zero errors and 3 putouts. She also struck out 7 of the 16 batters she faced. For these reasons, the team nominated Jacey to be our MVP of the night. 💜💛

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS OF ATHLETES AT BAY HIGH SCHOOL- - - - - -

***IMPORTANT***

Sports Physicals THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY,September 25th &26th.

Students Must:
--Come to the office and complete the sign-up sheet (remember to write neatly).

--Forms for sports physicals are DUE TONIGHT. They will not accept forms on the day of the physicals. The forms are located in the previous post on your Google Classroom and also on our school page, Bay High School - Home of the Yellowjackets. You can put either the 25th or the 26th as the exam date.
That does not make a difference.

--If you don't already have a Dragonfly account, please set one up. There is a handout below to
help you get an account. If you have a Dragonfly account, make sure your information is up to
date, including the sports you are or will be participating in.

Here’s the info for league! Everyone who came to tryouts I want to encourage you to play to get more experience! This will teach you the fundamentals of softball and help you get better!

Deadline is fast approaching.
3-4 year olds is under rag ball (T-ball)
5-6 coaches pitch
7-8 coaches pitch
9-10 Fast Pitch
11-12. Fast Pitch
13-14. Fast pitch

This is sign up is for girls that don’t have a team playing league that wants to play. Doesn’t matter the experience we will get you on a team.

Surprise Jr. High team bonding night was a success! I didn’t take many pictures. They thought we were having practice but instead we had pizza and played games (match the candy, candy grab challenge, pick your poison, blind drink test, and draw on my back). We laughed so much and had a blast! Just what we needed before school and season starts up. 🥎🎉
