Chiara is a creative educator, parent and adult/kid yoga instructor.

Kismet Kinders strives to provide a space where children are free of outside influences and pressures from their daily lives. In a creative, fun, and supportive environment we allow kids to explore nature, movement, song, art, games, and cooperative activities in a new way. One room schoolhouse, one indoor classroom, and an awesome outdoor space for exploring and tinkering! Mindfulness and Movemen

t offered every day. Music offered once a week. Please pack a lunch; snacks provided. Classroom set up for success and purposeful play each day. Including calm down space, reading space, physical play space, building space, sensory space and art space! Brand new classroom furniture ! Meet our class pet bunny, Karma. She helps us to remember respect and responsibility. Seasons inspire our focus and play. Be ready to play in all weather! "There's no such thing as bad waether, only unsuitable clothing." Peaceful Purposeful curriculum purchased for some inspiration and guidance in addition to my own personal curriculum developed over the years as a teacher. We believe all children are whole-competent beings and therefore our role in the classroom is to act as a facilitator to these naturally curious and creative children! Much of the "work" we do is child-driven so that we remain instrincally motivated and engaged, helping us to make better sense of the world around us.

As I reflect on five years of Kismet, one of the greatest gifts has been hearing from families after their children have moved on. ❤️

Sometimes a message arrives years later and reminds me that what we were building here was so much bigger than preschool.

Recently, a few former Kismet parents shared these words with me.

When I started Kismet, I wanted to create a place where childhood could unfold slowly—where children were deeply known, where relationships mattered, where there was room to play, struggle, explore, make mistakes, build confidence and simply "be little."

Five years later, hearing what families and children still carry with them might be the most meaningful measure of this little school I could ever ask for.

They grow up and move on, but somehow they remain part of Kismet—and Kismet remains a little part of them. 🌿❤️

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, I'm feeling especially grateful.

For the fifth year in a row, Kismet is beginning the school year with a full class. What started as a dream five and a half years ago has grown into a beautiful, connected community because of all of you.

This year feels especially bittersweet. Several of our original Kismet families are graduating after entrusting all two/three of their children to us over the years. Watching these children grow from toddlers into confident, curious little people, then welcoming their younger siblings, has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. It has given me the opportunity to truly know and grow alongside entire families, not just individual children.

When I imagined Kismet, this was exactly what I hoped it would become—a place where relationships matter, where children are known deeply, and where families find community and support. Seeing these first families move on reminds me just how special this journey has been.

To every family who has trusted me with your children, shared your lives with us, volunteered, encouraged us, and helped Kismet grow into what it is today: thank you. You are the heart of this community, and Kismet simply wouldn't exist without you.

Here's to another year of wonder, connection, and growing together. 💚

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Ms Kiki

What a beautiful Kismet kind of day. 💛

We turned lemons into lemonade—literally! 🍋

Our Kismet friends joyfully served our community, shared smiles, practiced kindness, and welcomed so many wonderful visitors (too many to capture in photos!).

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a smile, or supported our little stand. Community is such a beautiful thing. 💛🍋

Our very first Community Gathering Drum Circle was filled with love, light, connection, laughter, and amazing energy. A heartfelt thank you to Maseh Nchang and Miss Carolyn from Trust Drum Circles for sharing your gifts and creating such a welcoming, uplifting experience for everyone. Your positive energy was truly contagious!

It was beautiful to see our community come together, connect through rhythm, and strengthen our connection to ourselves and to one another. Moments like these remind us of the power of gathering with open hearts.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this first drum circle such a memorable experience. We already can't wait to welcome Trust Drum Circles back for a fun fall gathering!
