School of Health Sciences (SHS) ’24 OTD alumna Dr. Lisa Jasienowski, founder of the nonprofit Infirnity, recently brought together New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) residents from the Fulton & Elliott-Chelsea Houses, as well as community leaders and practitioners, for a powerful conversation on building communities where everyone can thrive. This Touro alum created Infirnity to cultivate an ecosystem of access to true and meaningful engagement.

“This gathering was rooted in the lived experiences, challenges, and opportunities facing the Chelsea NYCHA community. While buildings may change, community is something we build—together,” said Dr. Jasienowski.

🏖️ LI 2026 Summer Students (and faculty) kicked off the semester with Red, White and Blue Karaoke. Student Occupational Therapy Association at Touro College also provided bling for badges as their second years get ready for rotations. From red drinks to white snacks to blue SHS merch, their spirits were lifted during this fun study break.
