Last night's City Council meeting included a special recognition for one of Bay Minette's outstanding young leaders.

Mayor Joshua Brown and the Bay Minette City Council presented a proclamation honoring Cassidy French for her selection as the 2026–2027 Jobs for Alabama's Graduates (JAG) State Ambassador.

A rising senior at Baldwin County High School and the JAG Chapter President, Cassidy was selected for her exceptional leadership, dedication, character, and passion for serving others. As Alabama's JAG State Ambassador, she will represent students across the state while promoting leadership, career readiness, and student success.

Throughout Baldwin County High School's inaugural year of the JAG program, Cassidy has represented her school and community with excellence, humility, and a heart for others. This achievement reflects the hard work, determination, and positivity she brings to everything she does.

Our JAG students were introduced to simulators consisting of driving 18-wheelers, forklifts, and heavy machinery. Such a great experience for our students and their potential futures!

This prestigious honor recognizes Cassidy’s leadership, dedication, character, and passion for serving others both inside and outside of the classroom. As a State Ambassador, she will represent JAG Alabama while helping promote leadership, career readiness, and student success across our state.

Throughout our first school year of JAG at Baldwin County High School, Cassidy has represented Baldwin County High School and our JAG program with excellence, humility, and a heart for others. Watching her grow into the leader she is today has been truly special, and this accomplishment is a reflection of the hard work, determination, and positivity she brings to everything she does.

We could not be more proud of these young men and women who poured their hearts into their projects and stepped out of their comfort zone to compete at the Alabama State JAG Convention. While they wanted to have the chance to compete for Nationals, the journey to help grow the City of Bay Minette and Baldwin County High School has just begun. They are already discussing how they can be better and make a larger impact starting today! This is such an amazing accomplishment in their first year as a JAG Program! Thank you to everyone who helped us along this journey, we will be back next year bigger and stronger than ever to represent Baldwin County Public Schools and our community!
