This week is National TRIO Week of Action, and today, we are calling on the entire nation to flood Capitol Hill with one clear message:

Here’s what I need you to do.

Make three phone calls today: one to your U.S. House Representative and one to each of your two U.S. Senators.

You can reach any congressional office through the Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121.

Say this:

“My name is [Your Name], and I am a constituent from [District/State]. I am extremely concerned about the proposed changes to TRIO, and I’m calling to ask [Representative/Senator Name] to contact the Secretary of Education today and insist that the Department rescind, revise, and reissue the Talent Search and EOC grant proposals.”

Then, challenge at least five people in your circle to do the same.

Every single call must be counted. This helps us measure our collective advocacy strength, identify congressional engagement, and demonstrate the full force of the TRIO community. 🚀Blast off success for TRIO SSS Bay Minette, Fairhope, & Gulf Shores🧑‍🚀

This weekend, a group of 24 students traveled to Huntsville, AL for an immersive college and career exploration experience. The group toured Alabama A&M University and University of Alabama at Huntsville.

The highlight of the trip was a full day at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, where students explored space history & technology, along with several astronaut training simulations- including a G-Force accelerator! Coastal Alabama Community College

It’s hard to put into words how much Bri Burrell has meant to our TRIO SSS team and to our students. Her creativity, heart, and dedication set a standard that’s rare to find. She didn’t just do her job…she elevated everything around her!
