We believe every child deserves access to an exceptional education, regardless of financial circumstances.

The Anchor Point Education Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is now accepting need-based scholarship applications for students seeking to attend Anchor Point Academy.

Our scholarship program was created to help local families remove financial barriers and give more children the opportunity to learn in a Christ-centered, hands-on environment where curiosity, creativity, and confidence can thrive.

We are so excited to officially announce that Anchor Point Education Foundation will be hosting our very first Pumpkin Patch & Harvest Festival at the Matagorda County Birding Nature Center!

Our vision is to create a fun, family-friendly tradition that our community can look forward to year after year, while raising funds to support unique educational opportunities for Matagorda County children through the Anchor Point Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, as well as the Matagorda County Birding Nature Center, also a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing exciting details about everything we have planned, including:

After our Kids Create class, at 4pm, the Matagorda County Birding Nature Center is hosting a FREE Nature Scavenger Hunt Challenge for students entering 5th–8th grade! Kids will race through the nature center in teams of 2–3, solving clues and completing challenges. Registration is required for this event, form will be attached in comments below. After hearing from so many families in our community, we’re excited to announce that Anchor Point Academy’s full-time microschool program is now Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM–3:00 PM!

One of the biggest pieces of feedback we received was that families wanted a school day that better fit a traditional schedule while still providing the personalized, Christ-centered education of a microschool. We’re grateful for your feedback, and we’re thrilled to be able to make it happen!

✨ NEW Full-Time Schedule:
Monday–Thursday | 8:30 AM–3:00 PM

📚 Part-time Families: Our part-time homeschool program is staying exactly the same! These students will join us Mondays & Wednesdays from 1:00–3:00 PM, giving homeschool students the opportunity to build friendships, participate in hands-on projects, and enjoy enriching learning experiences in a Christ-centered environment.

🌧️ Despite the rain, our Camp Evergreen kiddos had lots of fun this past week!

Some of the highlights — we studied facts about ants and created “ant piles,” learned how Jesus shines a light for us, and then created our own lanterns! 🏮
