Child drowning risk continues to increase, new report warns A new report by the Consumer Product Safety Commission found that child drownings are on the rise.

Playhouse Pediatrics is offering non-emergency afternoon virtual visits from 1 PM to 5 PM. The visits are conducted online through our secure Athena electronic medical records(EHR) software.

Some symptoms we are able to assist with include rashes, sore throat, medication refills, colds and allergies.

If an ER visit is needed or further , we will be able to help make those recommendations.

Simple but true!

We can become infected with RSV in any stage of life, but it is most dangerous in the extremes of age: old and young.

The virus can cause pneumonia, bronchiolitis with wheezing, and other lower respiratory tract diseases.

Every season millions of people contract RSV, with several thousand fatalities as a result.

The good news is that there is an experimental vaccine against RSV that is in the first stage of clinical trials. If successful, it could be a game changer!

In the meantime, make sure that you are doing your best to prevent infection in the first place.

This means good, regular hand washing, covering coughs, sanitizing areas where there have been ill individuals, wearing a mask if necessary. Staying home from daycare and schools when sick and germs are more easily spread.
