St. John’s faculty was proud to represent our church and school at last week’s “National Night Out” that was held at Wenona Park. We enjoyed meeting all the people who stopped at our table. What a fantastic way to showcase all of the wonderful organizations in our area. We definitely will be back next year. The date will be Tuesday, August 3, 2027. Put it on your calendar!

This will be our last summer family playground night for 2026. ☹️ As you can see in the pictures, parents have been having just as much fun as the kids! Tonight starts at 6 with hotdogs and chips. If it is raining, we will use the gym, but you will need to bring along gym shoes. The gym floor was just refinished and there will not be crocs or sandals allowed on the gym floor. Come and join us for fun - rain or shine! ❤️🌭❤️🧃❤️

Our family playground events on Monday nights have sure been a lot of fun! Even with all the heat last week we had 28 of us who had a great time cooling off by throwing water filled sponge balls. 😎 Tonight we are going to have a family kickball game. Please come join us tonight between 6 - 8. And bring a friend. We have plenty of popsicles!

Preschool and Kindergartners finished the school year with a trip to downtown Bay City. We have so many “treasures” in our town to explore. We began the day with a trip to the Music Center and their talented musicians. Kevin at Artigiano‘s let us sample delicious cheese. Mr. Pete had even our parents stretching at Bay City Yoga. We were able to discover our artistic side at Studio 23. And our final stop was at ReMax where we made a fun group picture of a house and enjoyed ice cream. In between these scheduled stops we had lunch in the park, played on the playground, viewed the “Appledore” sailboat and even got a chance to sit in the Apex dump truck and push buttons! It doesn’t get much better than that! Thank you to them all for sharing their time and talents with us. Please visit these businesses - they are part of the heart and soul of our great city!

What a beautiful day to go and visit Shoemaker Farm in Saginaw. The preschoolers were able to pet the farm animals and learn a bit about them. We even got to finger paint feathers on a paper plate chicken! What a fun way to finish our school year. We can’t wait to come back to the “big kids” class this fall! ❤️🐣🦃🐄🐷🐰❤️

Preschool and Kindergarten were blessed with a beautiful day on Monday when we held our track and field day. We held it out on the playground and parking lot. No competition - just lots of fun and exercise! Children participated at eight different stations. Once they completed an activity, they got a stamp in their booklet and then went on to another activity. They were able to choose fun prizes when we finished. Our morning ended with a delicious pizza lunch and tired kids! A big thank you to all of our adult helpers, we could never have done it without you! ❤️🦾🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️⚽️🏌🏼🎾❤️

Preschool graduation is always a little sad for teachers. I have the joy of spending the year working with my little ones and watching them grow. Then I have to send them on to the next grade! God‘s blessings to the four year old class as they enter Kindergarten this fall. And to my crazy three year-old class, I can’t wait to spend another year with you!❤️🎓❤️🎓❤️

Preschoolers love being one of Jesus’ little lambs. We spend every day hearing God’s words and promises to us, His children. So Holy Week is an extra special time of the year to focus on Jesus love. We remembered Jesus love with a celebration. A note was left saying that “a friend of Preschoolers“ had hidden eggs and baskets for us. We went on a hunt and even the secretaries didn’t see anyone sneak in! But we eventually found eggs and baskets! Blessings to everyone from our classroom! 🫶🏼

Our theme in March was “Dr. Seuss and Mother Goose”, so when we completed Seuss we spent time with Mother Goose nursery rhymes. I’ve included just a few of the fun activities that we did during the month. For Miss Muffet we made spider webs, (look close at the green yarn web that we took turns climbing through) and had a lot of fun trying to make walls that Humpty Dumpty wouldn’t fall off and break! And Georgie Porgy would have loved our pudding for a snack - but no kissing the girls! ❤️🪿👑🥚❤️

The Sun, Earth and the Moon are exciting to learn about, but Preschoolers are usually in bed fast asleep when we think of using a telescope. But that didn’t stop us from checking out the letters and small toys that were attached to the fence at the end of the parking lot. Mr. Peil brought his medium sized telescope to school for us and we found out that it’s a little difficult to close one eye and look through the eyepiece with the other eye! It was fun to do math with “Starburst” candy and we used coffee filters to create all of our art projects for this theme. ❤️🌞🌛🌎⭐️❤️
