Safety first, future educators! 🚸✨
After completing their health and safety modules, Careers in Education students put their learning into practice by evaluating the preschool’s indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Students looked at the spaces from a teacher’s perspective, identifying potential safety concerns, considering how the environment supports children’s learning and development, and thinking about ways educators can create spaces that are both safe and engaging for young children.
This hands-on experience gave students an opportunity to connect what they learned in class to a real early childhood setting—and start developing the safety awareness they will need as future educators.
