I spend far more time talking to children than I do to adults, and I honestly hope that never changes. Conversations with my students are so entertaining and keep me on my toes!

Had this talk with a 6 year old this evening…

Student - “Ms. Karen, do you know the army? They’re having a war.”
Me - “Yes, I did know that there is a war going on.”
Student - *visibly surprised* “Wait, you knew? Who told you?”
Me - “I heard about it on the news. Who told you?”
Student - “It was Slade.” (Said in a tone that was quite sure I must know this kid. I don’t.)
Me - “Well, how did Slade know?”
Student - “Umm, because! His mom is the teacher!”

Key takeaway - Teacher’s kids know all. 🤣🤣
