The association will exist to ensure that the girl’s fastpitch needs of the community, at all levels of skill and competition are served.

The Brainerd Baxter Fastpitch Softball Association (BBFSA) is a non-profit civic organization established to foster and promote girls fastpitch softball in the Brainerd and Baxter area. The primary functi

ons are to instill in the participants principles of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect; to develop softball skills and to enhance self-esteem. The association is the primary advocate for the travel program and will work in coordination with Community Education and ISD 181 to maximize development of fastpitch skills, knowledge of the game, team play, and personal growth.

2027 Team Tryouts Complete! 🥎💙

2027 team tryouts for 12U through High School have officially concluded! Thank you to all of the players and families who participated and helped make the process a success.

Over the next few weeks, the BBFSA Board will review the evaluations and information gathered throughout the tryout process and make team placement decisions. A specific date for team announcements has not yet been determined, so please keep an eye out for updates when teams are finalized and posted.

Players selected for each team will be placed in roles that will challenge them, support their development, and give them the best opportunity to succeed and grow throughout the season. 💙

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who helped evaluate players, work in the field, organize, and support the tryout process. We truly appreciate your time and effort!

If you have questions about the tryout or team selection process, please reach out to the BBFSA Board. Otherwise, we will be in touch once teams have been formed.

📢 PLEASE NOTE: The volunteer date has been changed to Sunday, August 16 due to a lack of sign-ups for the previous date.

Every player is required to complete 2 volunteer/fundraising hours during the season. This is the final scheduled opportunity to fulfill that requirement, so please don’t miss your chance to help out and get your hours completed!

🥎Monsta Championship Update! 🥎

The 14U Warriors have been making the most of Monsta Championship weekend down in Mankato! Yesterday was a warm one, but the girls had a blast at the parade representing the 1991 Minnesota Twins World Series Champions — and they looked AMAZING with their mustaches and all! ❤️💙🥎

Today, they were in the middle of their second pool play game when Mother Nature decided to join the party. 🌧️⛈️ The game was delayed due to rain and lightning, and as of now, they are set to resume the 11:00 game no earlier than 4:30 PM.

Things may not have gone quite the way we hoped so far, but there is still LOTS of weekend left! 💪🏼 We know these girls can finish strong, so let’s shake it off, have some fun, enjoy being together, and make the most of every inning we have left!

Last practice of the season was a parents vs girls game! (Plus a few brothers)

The parents started off with a rough couple innings with the girls leading 12-2! Ended on such a close game at 16-17 with the parents pulling off the win!

We then got to enjoy DQ Dilly bars and juice boxes to end the night!

We want to thank all parents, sponsors and anyone who was able to help out the team this year we had so much fun! .org
