Brainerd Baxter Fastpitch Softball Association PHILOSOPHY
The association will exist to ensure that the girl’s fastpitch needs of the community, at all levels of skill and competition are served.

The Brainerd Baxter Fastpitch Softball Association (BBFSA) is a non-profit civic organization established to foster and promote girls fastpitch softball in the Brainerd and Baxter area. MISSION

The Brainerd Baxter Fastpitch Softball Association (BBFSA) is a non-profit civic organization established to foster and promote girls fastpitch softball in the Brainerd and Baxter area. The primary functions are to instill in the participants principles of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect; to develop softball skills and to enhance self-esteem. The association is the primary advocate for the travel program and will work in coordination with Community Education and ISD 181 to maximize development of fastpitch skills, knowledge of the game, team play, and personal growth.

Thank you for the countless hours, patience, encouragement, and heart you pour into our players. You’re not only teaching softball—you’re building confidence, teamwork, resilience, and memories these girls will carry with them long after the season ends.

🥎 WARRIOR SOFTBALL OPEN GYM IS BACK! 💙🤍

Keep those softball skills sharp through the winter, get some extra reps in and have fun with other Warrior softball players!

Open Gym is a parent-led setting where players can play catch, field ground balls and fly balls and hit in the cages. Softball skill lessons will also be offered for middle school players and younger.

⏰ 5:00–7:00 PM
📍 Forestview Middle School
🥎 Grades K–12

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent-led open gym — players in 5th grade and younger should be accompanied by an adult

We’re looking for parent and non-parent coaches for teams ranging from 8U through High School, including both head and assistant coaching positions.

Whether you’re a returning coach or looking to step onto the field for the first time, we’d love to have you be part of the Warrior family! 💙🤍

Want to get more involved and help make a difference for our local softball players? 💙

Brainerd Baxter Fastpitch Softball Association is looking for individuals interested in joining our BBFSA Board of Directors, with new terms beginning November 1, 2026!

Being a board member is a great opportunity to:
🥎 Help shape the future of our softball program
💙 Support our players, families & coaches
📋 Assist with events, tournaments, fundraising and other areas of the association
🤝 Work alongside a great group of people who want to continue growing softball in our community

You do NOT need to be a coach or softball expert to join! We’re looking for people who are willing to bring their ideas, time and talents to help make BBFSA the best program possible for our athletes.

Whether you’re a current softball parent, former player, community member or simply someone who wants to get involved — we’d love to hear from you!

2027 Team Tryouts Complete! 🥎💙

2027 team tryouts for 12U through High School have officially concluded! Thank you to all of the players and families who participated and helped make the process a success.

Over the next few weeks, the BBFSA Board will review the evaluations and information gathered throughout the tryout process and make team placement decisions. A specific date for team announcements has not yet been determined, so please keep an eye out for updates when teams are finalized and posted.

Players selected for each team will be placed in roles that will challenge them, support their development, and give them the best opportunity to succeed and grow throughout the season. 💙

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who helped evaluate players, work in the field, organize, and support the tryout process. We truly appreciate your time and effort!

If you have questions about the tryout or team selection process, please reach out to the BBFSA Board. Otherwise, we will be in touch once teams have been formed.
