Flexible scheduling that works around sports and extracurricular activities, gain valuable work experience in a fun and supportive environment, and work close to home!

🚔⭐ Announcing.....National Night Out 2026! ⭐🚔

The Baxter Chamber of Commerce is excited to partner with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, local law enforcement agencies, and first responders to host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM on Main Street in Baxter!

❓What is NNO?
National Night Out is an annual nationwide event designed to strengthen police-community partnerships, enhance neighborhood camaraderie, and promote crime prevention awareness. It's an opportunity for residents, families, law enforcement, and community organizations to come together in a positive and engaging environment while building a safer, stronger community.

Join us for an evening of:
⭐ Meeting local law enforcement officers and first responders
⭐ Fun activities for all ages
⭐ Community displays and demonstrations
⭐ Food, giveaways, and more!

This event is all about connecting with neighbors, supporting those who serve our community, and celebrating the partnerships that help make Baxter a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

GGLC IS HIRING!

Come join our amazing team! We are currently looking for both full-time and part-time childcare classroom teachers, as well as a full-time kitchen staff.

🕒 Full-Time Kitchen Staff
• 7 AM-3 PM (M-F)
• Light janitorial duties, creating a CACFP menu and grocery shopping, helping out staff as needed during the day, etc.

🕒 Full-Time
• 4-day work week (10-hour shifts)
• FREE childcare through the State for eligible full-time employees!

🕒 Part-Time
• Less than 30 hours per week

We’re looking for someone who:
• Can pass a background check
• Can complete required trainings within the designated time frame
• Has a calm, patient demeanor
• Maintains professionalism with both coworkers and families
• Is nurturing, attentive, and genuinely loves working with children
• Can keep up with the fun, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic world of childcare!
