Good evening, NCPS Families,

We understand the concerns regarding air conditioning outages affecting several of our schools. Nash County Public Schools is actively working to diagnose issues, make necessary repairs, and restore air conditioning as quickly as possible.

When an air conditioning issue is reported, our maintenance department is notified and begins working to address the problem. At the same time, school staff monitors temperatures and conditions inside affected buildings throughout the day. When needed, schools may adjust the use of classrooms and other spaces to help keep students and staff as comfortable as possible while repairs are underway.

Our maintenance department serves schools and facilities across the entire district, and our teams are working around the clock to prioritize and respond to issues based on the needs at each location. The health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority.

We recognize that the AC issues are a concern, especially during periods of high temperatures. We are committed to resolving these issues as quickly as possible while continuing to monitor conditions at each affected school.

If conditions at a school require changes to the normal school day or operations, we will communicate directly with those families as soon as possible.

We appreciate the patience, understanding, and partnership of our NCPS families and community as we work through these challenges together.
