Columbia Classics — September 12!
Calling all CAA alumni who graduated 50+ years ago—and we're expanding the invitation to those who graduated 40+ years ago, too!

Come reconnect with classmates and friends at Columbia Classics on Saturday, September 12, at 10:00 a.m. in the CAA Cafeteria/Chapel building.

We'll reminisce, reconnect, share some Columbia memories, and enjoy a potluck lunch together afterward. Bring a dish or two, and invite a classmate or friend to join you!

We are excited to announce that Mitchell Powers will be joining the Columbia Adventist Academy family as our Chaplain and Bible Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

Mr. Powers grew up in the small town of Kalama, Washington. After graduating from Columbia Adventist Academy, he attended Walla Walla University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Religion. He then served for three years as a Critical Care Chaplain at Adventist Health Portland while completing four units of Clinical Pastoral Education and earning a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Outside of work, Mr. Powers enjoys playing pickleball, running, weightlifting, hiking, listening to ‘70s music, watching the Rocky films, and engaging in meaningful conversations. He is passionate about walking alongside students and staff as they grow academically, personally, and spiritually. He looks forward to helping students develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ while encouraging them to discover God’s purpose for their lives.

As a CAA alumnus, Mitchell is excited to return to the place that played such an important role in his own faith and educational journey. We are thrilled to welcome him back to campus and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our school community.
