Today, I had a very special visitor in my office at Dudley Early Learning Center! One of our amazing little Baby Bearcats, who is just THREE years old (turning FOUR next week!), stopped by to read How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon? to me. And let me tell you… this little guy absolutely BLEW ME AWAY!

His confidence, fluency, expression, comprehension and incredible reading skills are a beautiful reminder of what is possible when children are surrounded by books, immersed in language, and given opportunities to explore the magic of literacy from an early age.

Early literacy matters. Reading aloud, talking with children, singing songs, exploring books, and making literacy a joyful part of everyday life help build the foundation for future success. When we nurture a love of reading early, we open doors to a world of possibilities.

And sometimes, the sweetest reminder of WHY we do what we do comes in the form of a tiny human sitting on your office floor, reading about dinosaurs to you like a seasoned pro.

At Dudley, we're not just caring for children. We're nurturing curiosity, building confidence, and celebrating the incredible potential in every single child.

The future is bright, and these Baby Bearcats are already showing us just how BRIGHT! 💙💛🐾
