The first week in Miss Hicks’ 2nd grade class was all about working together to solve a problem and accomplish tasks. We worked hard to get our team across the room only using sheets of paper, saving Fred the gummy worm, and building the tallest tower out of only
spaghetti and marshmallows! It wasn’t easy. There were lots of moments we needed to stop and tackle the task in a different way! This is exactly what we might need to do as we go through our year….. and we are ready! Let’s go, 2nd Grade!

Our classrooms are ready, our teachers are excited, and we can’t wait to see our Riverside students walking through the doors tomorrow morning! 🥰💜

📋 Get a Head Start on Back-to-School Paperwork! 💜

Families, you can get a head start on paperwork before Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, August 17th from 4:00–7:00 PM!

💊 Medication Form: If your child will need medication at school, please take the form linked below to your child’s doctor. Both the doctor and a parent/guardian will need to complete and sign the form. Once completed, you can bring the signed form to the front office along with your child’s medication.

🍎 Lunch Form: Also linked below is a required lunch form that families will need to complete for the upcoming school year.

Feel free to complete these forms ahead of time and bring them with you to Meet the Teacher Night! Getting them done early will be one less thing to worry about as we get ready for a great school year! ✏️🎒💜

🎒💜 Early Kindergarten & Kindergarten Jump Start Reminder! 💜🎒

We can’t wait to welcome our newest Spartans to Jump Start this Tuesday & Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.! ✏️🍎

📣 Parents & Guardians: There will be an informational parent meeting on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria while students begin their Jump Start fun!

✅ Please make sure your student is registered before attending.

🚌💜 Kindergarten Jumpstart Bus Information! 💜🚌

We can’t wait to welcome our newest Riverside students for Kindergarten Jumpstart on August 11 & 12! 🎉💜

If your child will be riding to Jump Start, please check out the pick-up and drop-off schedule below!

⏰ Important reminders for families:
💜 Please arrive at your child’s bus stop 5 minutes before pick-up AND drop-off.
💜 An adult must be at the bus stop to receive their student at drop-off.
💜 The bus will arrive at Riverside at approximately 8:25 a.m. and depart Riverside at 12:00 p.m.
