KCC Photography & Multimedia Program Photography & Multimedia educational program This intensive college program prepares students for entering the diverse fields of photography and multimedia.

Working professionals and employers designed the curriculum to develop individuals who thrive in fastpaced work environments and to prepare students to use state-of-the-art technology with artistic expression. Graduates of this program are well-rounded individuals, with a background adaptable to a variety of media related fields. The program includes four main areas of emphasis: Photography, Multi

media, Animation, and Visual Art. The curriculum blends traditional and digital media technologies while encouraging
technical proficiency and aesthetic awareness of photography, multimedia, film animation, visual art, video capture and editing, sound capture and editing, web design, and graphic design as both an art form and a professional medium of communication.

Check out the photo by KCC Photography & Multimedia Program alum Stephen Young on the cover of today’s Battle Creek Enquirer!

Stephen made the photo during the College’s recent ART 220: Landscape Photography course in Scandinavia in May, and his photo along with others and those made by several other trip participants is currently on display in the DeVries Gallery through Aug. 27.

Our May 2026 Postcard Project Photography and Multimedia selection is a Student Art Exhibit Edition, available now on campus and at select locations around the community:

“Self Portrait,” a digital photograph by Photography and Multimedia student Colum Shea. The work won the Best of Photography in the College’s 2026 Kimiko Petersen Fine Art Awards in April.
