Author and animation historian Mindy Johnson (Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney's Animation) is presenting "Pencils, Pens & Brushes: The Colorful Women of Disney Animation" - the story of the women behind Snow White, Alice, Sleeping Beauty and more, who rarely got credit for their work. Johnson is an Annie Award winner and the first woman named an Academy Film Scholar for animation. She's also the guest curator of the museum's HerStory of Animation: Mary Blair & Beyond exhibition, which closes Sept. 27! So this is a great excuse to catch that too.
