Summer Reading Program
Springport Elementary School:

Last scheduled book exchange of the summer is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 in the Title I Room (Mrs. Helm's room) located near the cafeteria from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Bring your book bags and exchange your books. 😀

FREE breakfast and lunch for anyone 18 and under continues daily (Monday-Thursday) through August 11th, 2016.

REMINDER (from Mrs. Helm😊)

The Bike Book Mobile from Springport Elementary School will be in town tomorrow (Wednesday, July 20th, 2016). Dairy Kreme area around 10:30 a.m. then on to Grand Street toward park by water tower. From the park, we'll travel Oyer Street to Grand/Railroad Street area to East Main Street and on to Green Street to the Mobile Home Park during 'Meet and Eat' FREE LUNCH (for everyone 18 and under - residency does not matter). Last stop around 12:40 p.m. on Maple Street near Willow Street. Please remember to bring your book bags and exchange your books!! Happy Reading!! 📚

Thank You for a Wonderful Year!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your children with me and helping to support their learning throughout the year. It has been an amazing period of growth for all of the students (and me). Please continue to show your children that learning outside of the classroom is important too. The summer slide is a real tragedy and it affects too many children. Simply reading 20 minutes each day together will greatly impact their reading abilities and better prepare them for second grade. Please call me if you have questions about book levels, math games, or the summer packet. I would enjoy hearing from you. 517-745-2600.

Blue Book Bags
Each child was given a blue zippered bag with four books to enjoy over the summer. There is important information inside that will explain how the children may exchange their books for new ones. There are specific days that staff will be at the elementary school to help children do so and there are times that the mobile book mobile will be in town. (See upcoming dates).

Summer Homework
I put together a couple of packets of good stuff to do with your child over the summer months. When your child return the packet in the fall they will get a surprize treat!!!

Box Tops for Education
Thanks for sending in box tops! Our class contributed 375 toward the school’s goal of 1,000! Our school beat that goal and collected a whopping 3,000 box tops which brought in $300 for our school. Woo Hoo!!

Report Cards
Children have their report cards along with NWEA reports in their backpacks.
