Verona Weekly Update
End of the 2025-2026 School Year
Hello Verona Families! 💙💛
I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying this beautiful weather. We have officially come to the end of the 2025-2026 school year!
First, I would like to thank our Verona families for your partnership, support, and trust throughout this school year. Together, we have celebrated successes, overcome challenges, and continued to support our Bearcats as they learn and grow.
Battle of the Books Champions
A huge shoutout to our amazing students who participated in Battle of the Books! Reading four chapter books in a short amount of time is no small accomplishment. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, teamwork, and commitment to reading. Way to go, Bearcats!
No Backpacks
As a reminder, students should not bring backpacks to school this week.
Field Day – Tuesday, June 2
Field Day is Tuesday, June 2. Information regarding times and activities was sent home with students. We look forward to a fun day of games, activities, and celebrating a great year together.
5th Grade Recognition Ceremony – June 4 at 10:30 AM
Our 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 4 at 10:30 AM.
Students who purchased a Verona "Next Chapter" shirt should wear it to the ceremony and be prepared for classmates and teachers to sign it. The shirts are white, and blue Sharpies will be available for signatures.
If you would like to take your student home following the ceremony to celebrate, please sign them out with Ms. Fisher at the checkout table located near the gym.
Please remember that balloons and flowers are not permitted during the ceremony.
Last Day of School – June 5
Thursday, June 5, is our final day of school and a half day for students. We will also celebrate our fifth graders with a special clap-out as they walk through Verona's doors one final time as elementary students.
School Uniform Survey
As we begin planning for next school year, we are exploring the possibility of school uniforms at Verona.
