Thank you to each of these leaders for taking the time to share their knowledge and experiences with our students!

We changed things up last week by stepping out of the classroom and into the warehouse. Flores MBA students volunteered for a day of service at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, helping package and prepare essential grocery deliveries.

We are proud of our students for prioritizing community impact alongside their studies; way to lead by example!

A team of Flores students hit the road last weekend and traveled to College Station for the 13th annual SEC MBA Case Competition, hosted by the Mays Business School. This event challenges business students to solve real-world problems, with Dell Technologies serving as this year’s case client.

We’re thrilled to share that LSU advanced to the finals and placed fourth overall! Congratulations to Ian McManus, Jake Leitz, Luke McGibboney, and Elia Brudaglio – who also earned the Best Q&A Presenter award in our division – plus coach Luke Cashen. 🏆

On this Giving Day, help empower the next generation of LSU MBA leaders by supporting our global immersion initiative. These immersive academic experiences in Latin America, Asia, and Europe offer our students firsthand exposure to diverse cultures, business practices, and global market dynamics. In “learning by doing,” international travel enhances students’ cultural understanding, perspective, and skill during their MBA experience.

The week may be winding down, but our global immersion cohorts are still full speed ahead on exciting cultural and business experiences.

⛰️ In Peru, we relocated to Cusco, 12th century capital of the Incan Empire and historically one of the largest economic and political centers of Peru. From there, our cohort ascended above the Sacred Valley to explore the ruins of Machu Picchu, one of the great archeological wonders of the world.

đźš— In Europe, our cohort travelled to Prague, where they had the opportunity to participate in local cooking classes, tour the Pilsner Urquell brewery, and visit the headquarters of Ĺ koda Auto for insights into automotive manufacturing.

While our cohorts are travelling abroad, exciting developments are still happening here at home: a team of Flores MBA students spent the past several days participating in the IDEAcorps MBA Consulting Challenge.

Hosted by the Loyola University New Orleans Center for Entrepreneurship and Community Development, this immersive event lets MBA students work directly with early-stage businesses to develop scaling strategies. Congratulations to team members Luke McGibboney, Jake Leitz, Hunter Grenfell, Diego Fajardo Reyes, and Landon Ulrich – way to represent LSU!

Our global immersion experiences continued yesterday with several learning opportunities:

⚡ Our European cohort toured a VERBUND hydroelectric power plant on the Danube River, exploring the challenges of managing major energy assets, followed by a stop at igm Robotersysteme AG for a first-hand look at how cutting-edge robotics impact efficiency and competitiveness in manufacturing.

📊 In Lima, students visited AmCham Perú for a primer on the Peruvian economic landscape, followed by a visit to Piola Brands, a leading name in sustainable fashion, to learn how the company scales artisanal production while maintaining quality and ethical sourcing.

Thank you to each of these firms and organizations for hosting us!
