💥𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡💥

Our 6th grade scientists put their learning to the test with some 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 results!

As part of their lessons on volcanoes, students explored what causes volcanic eruptions and then got to see the science come to life with their very own volcano experiments!

There’s something pretty exciting about learning a concept in the classroom and then watching it 𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘱𝘵 right in front of you!

Our first chapel of the year was all about JOY!

We were reminded through Nehemiah 8:10 that “The joy of the Lord is your strength” and that when circumstances change, God remains faithful.

Much like the walls in Nehemiah, we reflected on how 10 years ago, our VCA walls were being rebuilt after the flood. The walls may have needed rebuilding, but God never changed. He remained our strength then, and He remains our strength today.

🎶And elementary parents, be sure to ask your Warriors about the songs they sang in chapel today! We brought some old-school joy with “I’ve Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy Down in My Heart” and the sweetest a ca****la version of “I Love You, Lord” that blessed all of our souls!

What a joyful way to begin our year!

Our first Spirit Shirt Friday of the 2026-2027 school year is here, and our Warriors understood the assignment! There really is just something about seeing the whole school decked out in VCA gear that makes Friday even more fun!

⚗️🔬 𝟼𝚝𝚑 𝙶𝚛𝚊𝚍𝚎 𝚂𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎🔬⚗️

Mrs. Jones didn’t waste any time getting her 6th graders into the science lab! During their first week of school, students took on the hands-on problem-solving “Can You Help Sam?” challenge!

With a few simple materials and some creative thinking, students had to listen to one another, develop a plan, test their solution, and try again when things didn’t go as planned.

It may only be the first week, but our 6th graders are already learning that science isn’t just about knowing the answers—it’s about thinking, collaborating, and figuring things out.

From the very first drop-off to the very last pickup, today was filled with such 𝙹𝙾𝚈!

There were big smiles, happy reunions, friendships growing, and teachers bringing the fun from day one! Our hallways are officially filled with the sounds of learning, laughter, and our Warriors 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 where they belong!

TOMORROW, WARRIORS!

The halls are ready. The classrooms are waiting. The backpacks are packed. And after a summer of anticipation, our Warriors are returning!

Tomorrow, we welcome:
🍎Our newest Warriors—some taking their very first steps onto the VCA campus!
📚Our returning Warriors—ready to see friends, meet new teachers, and jump back into another year of growth and memories!
🎓Our 8th Grade Warriors—beginning their final year at VCA and the last chapter of a journey that started years ago.

From our littlest learners discovering all that a school day can hold to our oldest students preparing to leave their VCA legacy, every Warrior has a place in our story.

And this year, we’re choosing JOY.
Joy in the learning, the friendships, and the growing. Welcome back, Warriors!
