CLS Is A Christian Base Daycare Offering Care For Children From 6 Weeks Old To 4 Years Old, Before & After Care 5-12 Years Old & Summer Care 5-10 Years Old.

Parents, we have been notified that the Central school system has a teacher only day Tuesday September 8th the day after labor day. We WILL be open for normal operation and will take on our "enrolled kids" (summer care, holiday care, before and aftercare kids) for our daily rate care. Parents, please send breakfast, lunch, 2 snacks and a blanket for quiet time with your child.

Kids not enrolled in before and after care $30 a day
Kids enrolled in either before or after care is $19 a day
Kids enrolled in both before and aftercare is $16 a day

Parents, starting next week is the second round of the $100 supply fee for daycare kids and $50 for before and aftercare kids that will be due. Please prepare to take care of that over the next few weeks by letting Jennifer know.

Also, we will be closed Monday September 7th for labor day so please plan accordingly. Thsnk you.

Now that school is back in session. Some parents may decide if they need or want to go back to work. Well, we have a few openings in our roster if you need daycare services! Call us at 225-261-1288 for a tour and any questions you may have.

We are looking for a full-time teacher to work as a floater to help out with our growing roster. For this position, we could also work with the right person as a 12pm-5pm Monday thru Friday schedule as a part time role if we need to. We have some flexibilities on full-time or part time but 12-5 Monday thru Friday is our main need. We could possibly hire both as well. Please apply at the daycare or Call Jennifer at 225-261-1288.

📢 Attention CLS Families!

CLS will be transitioning to a new childcare management system!

If you have a child who is currently enrolled at CLS or has been enrolled at any time since January 16, 2026, please click the link below and complete your registration so we can get everyone set up in the new system. If you have already done so, thank you.

Once the software is fully updated. You will be able to access tuition payment statements for your tax records directly through the new software.

This week we are doing a "Community Helpers Week" where everyday, we will have some special people come through and educate the kids.

Monday: Central Fire Department 9am
Tuesday: EMS 9am
Wednesday: EBR Sheriff's Swat Team 9am
Thursday: Mr. Kaiser a friend of ours will come by and do a simple cooking class
Friday: Dental Hygiene 9:30am, Pizza for lunch and Kona Ice at 2pm

We hope our little ones enjoy this last week of summer!

We are monitoring the system in the gulf as it is expected to move across Louisiana towards the end of the week. As of now the news doesn't seem to be worried about any high winds or bad weather so we will operate under normal operations all week unless something changes that would put our employees and the kids under any safety concerns. Please let the daycare know if you intend to keep your child at home any days remaining this week. Thank you.
