We’ve had such a wonderful first week of December at Élan Vital Montessori! ✨

Our classrooms are filled with fresh holiday work on the shelves for the children to enjoy. Some of our students began sewing lessons with Miss Amy this week, and we also installed a brand new climbing element in our outdoor classroom! Even with the rainy, chilly weather, the children embraced their work while also enjoying music, movement, and meaningful activity throughout the week.

We wrapped up these past few days with a fantastic Parents Night Out at The Bulldog. It was such a great turnout, and we absolutely loved seeing our parent community connect and enjoy time together.

As we look ahead to the holidays at Élan Vital Montessori, our hearts feel especially full. 💛💙

🌿🎨 Outdoor Classroom Magic in the Making! 🎨🌿

We are so excited to tell you all about the amazing murals the Primary Class children have been creating in our outdoor classroom over the past two weeks, and now I finally get to share a sneak peek! The first mural is almost complete, and it’s absolutely beautiful.

The children have been involved in every step of the process, from prepping the wood, to painting, and next week they’ll help seal their masterpiece. It’s been such a meaningful, hands-on project for them, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Major props to Ms. Brittany and Ms. Amy for leading this creative adventure with so much heart and patience! We can’t wait to see these murals proudly displayed on our building soon. 💛💙

🌳💛🌿 Growing Roots for the Future 🌿💛🌳

We are so thankful to one of our EVM families for donating, planting, and helping care for new trees on our campus, 2 Bald Cypress, a Sycamore, a Sweet Red Maple, and a Cottonwood. All are beautiful, native trees that will thrive in our Louisiana home.

When we first moved to this campus in 2018, there was so much work to do to prepare the space for children. Sadly, a handful of trees had to be removed because they had become hazardous. This generous gift allows us to replace and renew, planting trees that will grow alongside our children for many years to come. 🌱

The children were filled with curiosity and joy as they learned about each tree and helped with the planting. What a special way to connect with the land and understand how deeply our roots here matter.

🍩✨ Donut Day at Elan Vital Montessori was such a sweet success! The sun was shining, the donuts were delicious, and so many families stayed to enjoy extra time together on the playground. 🌞💛

Our current classrooms are joyfully full, but we are already welcoming families for tours and accepting applications for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 enrollment. 🌱

🌟 Our EVM Team is Ready! 🌟

Our staff kicked off this year’s in-service with a peaceful private yoga session led by Missy from Soul Shine Yoga and an inspiring workshop with an occupational therapist on supporting diverse sensory needs.

The rest of inservice was all about team collaboration, classroom prep, and creativity. We wrapped it up with two joyful days of Meet the Teacher visits with our amazing students.

As we step into Elan Vital Montessori’s 19th year, we’re inspired, energized, and ready for a year full of growth and wonder.

At Elan Vital Montessori, the world is our classroom! From exploring the garden to observing bugs, clouds, and changing leaves, outdoor education is woven into our daily rhythm.

When children learn outside, they’re not just breathing in fresh air, they’re building curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love for nature. Whether it’s a quiet moment watering plants or collecting treasures on a nature walk, these experiences spark joy and discovery in ways no worksheet ever could. 🌿☀️🐞

Here, we believe big ideas can be found under tiny rocks, and some of the best lessons are taught by the earth itself.

🌻 Guess Who’s Back? 🌻

After taking the past year off from social media, Elan Vital Montessori is excited to be back and sharing our school life with you again!

We just wrapped up an amazing Teacher In-Service Week where our incredible team worked tirelessly to prepare for the year ahead. Then, bright and early this morning, we had a fantastic turnout for our first Parent Workday of the year. We are so grateful for our parent community’s support, hard work, and dedication to making our campus shine.

Now, our hearts are full and our classrooms are ready. We can’t wait to welcome our precious students back this week! 💛💙
