This program offers credit to college students through Louisiana State University. It is taught at the Burren College of Art in Ballvaughan Ireland . Malcolm McClay was born in Ireland and Chicory Miles has been visiting Ireland regularly for over 20 years. All students receive studio with 24 hr access. The courses offered include include sculpture, painting, photography, and digital art.

Visit Ireland virtually from the safety of your own home. Join the Art in Ireland Summer Program faculty as they teach an online course exploring the Wild Atlantic West Coast of Ireland.

Malcolm McClay is offering a 3D Design, ART 1012 / 3D Composition, ART 1009. This class will join in the fun of traveling through the Irish landscape, while learning about line, plane, volume and surface, the elements of 3-Dimensional Design. It will include online presentations and conversations with leading Irish contemporary artists as well as an introduction to the Burren College of Art where the Art in Ireland Summer Program is held each year.

Chicory Miles is offering an Introduction to Watercolor, ART 2883. For those who have never used watercolor to those who are familiar but want to learn more, this class takes you from those very first exercises to painting complete watercolors with confidence. We will draw inspiration from this remote landscape, in a course that takes you from Ballyvaughan to the Aran Islands. Paint shipwrecks and castles and immerse yourself in the Irish landscape. This class offers you an opportunity to learn about watercolor, while escaping to explore Ireland online.

A Letter to the Sea is a performance installation journey from the west coast of Ireland to the universe within. With large scale projection, live performance and Devices of Discovery, the audience are carried over the wild Atlantic coast to the present, where words are mined and shaped into offerings to the sea.
