COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective.

Data continue to show that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and help prevent COVID-19, especially severe disease and death. Everyone ages 5 years and older should get vaccinated against COVID-19, and everyone ages 12 years and older should also get a booster shot when eligible.

As of March 21, 2022, 255 million people, or about 76.8% of the U.S. population, have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Of those, 217.1 million, or about 65.4%, are fully vaccinated. More than 96.7 million people have received a booster dose.
