He met them exactly where they were. It is this immense kindness and gentle spirit that we are holding close to our hearts. It was a beautiful display of his humility and deep compassion. His kindness left a lasting impression on our students, and his legacy of support will not be forgotten." Our collective prayers and love extend to Ms Selders, the mother of Senator Selders and member of the Crestworth elementary family. 🎉 What an incredible accomplishment! 🎉

Crestworth Elementary has been recognized as the most improved school in East Baton Rouge Parish, increasing our mastery rate by an outstanding 14 percentage points! 💙💚🧡

This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, the support of our families, and a community that continues to believe in our school. Together, we’ve proven that when we work as one, amazing things happen.

The family of Crestworth Elementary is deeply saddened by the news of Senator Selders passing. He has been a impactful supporter of our students in literacy and other academic activities and events. We enjoyed him reading stories to our early learning students kindergarten through 5th grade , sponsoring students, as well as providing tours of the State Capitol to Crestworth students. Though he stood tall in stature, his sincere care, friendliness, and passion for the children made him very approachable. Our prayers are with his family and mother, Mrs Selders, who is a member of our Crestworth family.
