Students from Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy and Helix Aviation Academy gathered at Bethany Church in Baker for Corporate Work Study Draft Day.

Excitement filled the room as teachers, Corporate Work Study partners and students filled the seats, waiting to hear names called and discover which organizations they would join.

The Corporate Work Study Program gives students an opportunity to explore different career paths while developing valuable skills, gaining experience and learning workplace responsibilities.

We’re excited to watch our students step into new opportunities, build meaningful connections and grow as they prepare for their futures. The best is yet to come!

Have you seen “The Shark”?!

“The Shark,” created by senior Mahaylia Williams, is part of a three-painting Pop Art series permanently displayed on the first floor of Helix Mentorship and Maritime Academy.

Since her freshman year, Mahaylia has shown an extraordinary passion for the visual arts, creating one impressive composition after another. Completed in just under three weeks during here junior year, “The Shark” reflects her remarkable talent, creativity, and dedication.

Congratulations Mahaylia on this outstanding achievement and your continued growth as a talented and humble student artist! The Art Department is under the leadership of Art Instructor Mr. Edward Barnes.
