Our dietetic students spent an unforgettable week in Anacoco, LA, serving as part of the medical staff at Lions Louisiana Diabetes Camp. They supported campers with type 1 diabetes by helping them count carbohydrates, assisted dietitians, nurses, and doctors with nightly blood sugar and ketone checks, provided education, and joined in all the fun camp activities.

They also connected with fellow interns from the Nicholls and McNeese programs, forming lasting friendships and creating wonderful memories together.

We are so grateful for this special week with the campers. Thank you for having us again Lions Camp! 🐺💙🦁

FranU’s dietetic students led an awesome presentation at Summer Camp at FranU, helping teens debunk nutrition myths vs. facts from social media. No more TikTok confusion, just real talk and science based knowledge!
Shoutout to our future dietitians for inspiring the next generation! 💙🐺☀️

We invite you to join us in supporting FranU’s food pantry!

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. ❤️

FranU’s food pantry helps support students in our community by providing access to essential food and resources. Your donation can help ensure that no student has to choose between their education and a meal.

We invite you to join us in caring for others through generosity and service. If you would like to support the pantry, financial donations can be made at franu.edu/giving/make-a-gift by selecting “Student Food Pantry” as the designation. Food and personal item donations may be dropped off in the Student Affairs Suite on the second floor of St. Francis Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. ❤️
