English Learner Fellows work to bridge the achievement gap for the state's growing English Learner student population.

Louisiana's reading growth is powered by teachers like Kelli White of the Richland Parish School Board. The Mangham High School educator is the 2026 Louisiana Public Interest Fellow.
White’s fellowship project will help students become stronger readers by giving teachers practical tools to improve fluency and comprehension.
Her work will build on Louisiana’s literacy progress and help prepare more students for success in every subject.
