We are so excited to welcome Sister Uyen, a Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady, to St. George Catholic School! She will be visiting our campus each Thursday, and we are so grateful for the joy, faith, and kindness she brings to our school community. It is truly wonderful to have her with us! PreK-3 has been working hard, using their fine motor skills to learn the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters! Building their letters out of Play-Doh!

🔬✨ Mrs. Tucker-Day’s 4th Grade Scientists are off to an amazing start! 🧪

Our super scientists learned how to properly use the tools scientists use while practicing important lab safety skills. They then put the Scientific Method into action by making a hypothesis, identifying variables, conducting an experiment, and drawing a conclusion as they investigated just how many drops of water can fit on a penny!

We are so proud of their curiosity, teamwork, and scientific thinking—and we can’t wait to see what they discover next!

We are so grateful for all the time and hard work our parents put in to help make our athletic programs a success. We can’t wait for the season ahead and are looking forward to a fun, exciting football season!

Service in action! 💚

Through St. George Catholic School’s Service in God’s Name (SIGN) program, our middle school students are encouraged to step beyond the classroom and make a meaningful difference in our community.

Student volunteers Grayson Taylor and Jack Lovelace recently put that mission into practice by helping unload donated meat during the Hunters for the Hungry Clean Out Your Freezer Day at Bowie Outfitters.

We are proud to see our students learning that serving others is one of the many ways we can live out our faith. 💚🙏

The Future Astrophysicists of America held their first meeting of this school year today. To kick off, they did a STEM activity. They made bridges with marshmallows and spaghetti, then tested them to see how many PVC pipes I they could hold. The Future Astrophysicists of America Club watches science fiction and nonfiction videos, discusses science, has guest STEM guest speakers, does STEM activities, and puts on the annual St. George Star Night.
