🌟 Congratulations to Broadmoor Elementary School broadcasting teacher Mark Ellis Jr., who was honored as New Artist of the Year at the 2026 Stellar Awards. 🏆🎶

Ellis, who also serves as director of the Ablaze Youth Choir of Baton Rouge, was recognized at the 41st annual Stellar Awards in Charlotte, North Carolina. The awards honored the top artist in gospel music and the industry.

Ellis is an LSU graduate and first-year teacher.

First day back = SUCCESS at Broadmoor Elementary! ✨📚

Today our amazing educators dove into professional development focused on LER and Thematic Magnet Integration—setting the tone for a year full of purpose, creativity, and student-centered learning. 💡🎭🎤

To top it off, our teachers got to unwind and connect during a fun “Paint & Sip” where they designed their very own anchors ⚓—symbolizing growth, innovation, and a powerful start to the school year!

Today was nothing short of AMAZING! 💙❤️
Shoutout to the BES Leadership Team for curating such an engaging and enjoyable voyage for our teachers. We’re ready to set sail into an incredible year! 🚢✨
