Piano by Megan handbooks have been going out this week and I am so proud of myself for finally doing this. I’ve done a studio policy for years but it was always just nuts and bolts. Not a lot of detail. I finally decided to go a little deeper and I just hope at least one person reads it! 🤣.

We love our !!! M just did her Kindergarten and it was so adorable. She is the cutest little flamingo you have ever seen. HUGE shout out to the arts teachers. They do an AMAZING job with the littles and the bigs at our school. It’s Teacher Appreciation week. Let’s send a little extra to our fabulous arts crew at !

A little therapy for mama today. My improv in In the Stars. It’s not perfect and I almost didn’t put it here because it’s not perfect. But playing, improvising, helped me feel better. So be kind.
Sometimes when it’s the end of the year and the recital is done, you just have to do some bucket drumming.

Congratulations to this sweet student (who is not pictured out of respect for the parent) for finishing piano safari level 1!!! He started with me at age 4 in Safari Friends and is now in first grade and just killin it in piano lessons.
I have to give a shout out to his parents on this one. They are super involved and have been instrumental in his quick progression. They are interested in his piano study and fully support and help him at home. As a result, he is one of my quickest and most talented students. His mom even told me she is learning by helping him!
Parental involvement matters so much!!
Whew!!! The Spring Recital is right around the corner and we are ready!!! I de used to do a project recital for the first time ever. Students have been learning music based on Louisiana music or about Louisiana. At the same time, they have been learning about the very colorful musical history and culture here through carefully curated videos and off bench activities.
