October is fire prevention month. We are thankful for the St George firefighters that came out to share with our Mdo students and raise fire safety awareness. The children loved getting to visit with them and see the fire truck

Mom’s Day Out will be closed on Monday and Tuesday this week due to the expected impacts of Hurricane Marco.
Per our parent handbook (available online at wbcbr.org under Mom's Day Out), we normally close when the local public school systems close because of safety precautions due to the weather. At this time Ascension, Central, East Baton Rouge, Livingston, East Feliciana, Tangipahoa, West Baton Rouge and Zachary school systems are all closing their schools on Monday and Tuesday so we will follow their safety precautions and close as well.

We have an amazing group of fun, compassionate, loving, gifted teachers at MDO and enjoyed celebrating them yesterday with gifts from students and providing a lunch for them. It was an incredible way to end our school year! Our teachers truly do have hearts of gold 💛
