Our EBV at LSU alums rock! Geaux April!

Meet IVMF’s , April Roberts Holland, a 20-year retired Navy Personnelman.

During Holland’s final tour, she ensured that the entire Naval Reserve Construction Force received global training as their Training Comptroller with the 1st Naval Construction Division. She also served as an HR Manager at various Stateside Personnel Support Detachments including Career Counselor and Manpower Analyst at Camp Pendleton, and Employment Classifier at Naval Reserve Personnel Center in New Orleans. She is the recipient of numerous awards including two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals.

Holland retired in 2003, but her passion for service never faltered. This led her to promoting disaster preparedness after experiencing several natural disasters, including Hurricane Katrina.

Holland became the Founder and President of Evac2Go. The company promotes emergency preparedness and disaster mitigation, helping citizens take control of their own survival during an emergency.

Holland is a 2014 graduate of the Entrepreneurial Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) at Louisiana State University and the Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) New Orleans 2015 Conference.

“EBV and V-WISE provide an extensive offering of training and services, allowing proactive veteran entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life! I got the basis to complete a viable business plan and move forward with Evac2Go,” she said.

Holland was selected as a Facebook FBStart Bootstrap Fellow and is a Cohort at the NewME VR Accelerator in Silicon Valley.

April is a devoted wife-to-be, mother and grandmother. She also promotes programs available to help Veteran Entrepreneurs on her website at http://vetbusiness.org. For more information on April Roberts Holland’s business, visit Evac2Go at http://evac2go.co.
