On Saturday, May 23, 2026 ECELP proudly celebrated a tremendous achievement at the Excellent Teachers Tea Party hosted by the East Baton Rouge Early Childhood Community Network!

Every ECELP classroom was recognized for earning a CLASS observation score of 6.0 or higher during the 2024–2025 school year. 🌟 In addition, our entire school was honored as an EXCELLENT Site! 🏆

We are incredibly proud of our dedicated teachers and staff whose commitment to high-quality early childhood education makes achievements like this possible every day.

🔊🐬Our Young Preschool 1 students explored echolocation, the amazing way dolphins use sound to navigate their world! Using paper towel rolls and a metal pan, the children created sounds and listened for echoes, learning how dolphins find food, friends, and obstacles in the ocean. 🌊

🐠 Ocean Still Life Drawings 🐙

Our Toddler 3 class explored the wonders of the ocean through art! Using a variety of drawing tools and ocean animal figurines as inspiration, the children created their own ocean animal drawings. 🐳

Teacher Appreciation may have been two weeks ago, but our gratitude lasts all year! A special thank you to PAC President, Langley McClay, the Teacher Appreciation Week Committee, our amazing parent volunteers, and our wonderful sponsors - ECELP parents who donated toward, breakfast, croissant, ice cream, and dirty soda bar, Marco’s, Torchy’s Tacos, Jimmy John’s, Smalls Sliders, and Walk-On’s (Burbank). To our families, thank you for all of your thoughtful gestures throughout the week; our educators truly felt celebrated!

Rainy days can still be full of fun! ☔ Infant 3 explored sensory circles. It was the perfect way to stay busy, learn, and play indoors! 🌈

🦈 Do you have teeth like a shark? 😁
Toddler 3 became little dental detectives, using mirrors to search for the pointy teeth hiding in their mouths! After spotting them, we learned these sharp teeth are called canines just like a shark’s teeth and they help us bite and chew our yummy food.

🫧Bubble play in Infant 1 brings smiles and joy! 🫧

Preschool 2 has been learning about famous artists such as Edvard Munch and Pablo Picasso and their masterpieces. Inspired by what they learned, they created their own unique masterpieces, using their feelings and imagination to bring their ideas to life!

During our Preschool Promotion Celebration, we celebrated our wonderful Preschoolers and their early childhood journey. 📖 It has been a pleasure to share in their many milestones and accomplishments along the way. Never forget your Preschool memories... next stop, Kindergarten! 🎓
