Eagle Alert: As we usher in this new school year, we are happy to announce the transition of J. K. Haynes Charter School to J. K. Haynes Teacher Prep and Leadership Academy. Thank you to our devoted, distinguished, and dedicated faculty and staff of educators, advisors, administrators, and supporters, who magnified the name of Dr. J. K. Haynes and continuously upheld our school’s motto of “Striving for Excellence.” Our Eagles will continue to soar… Onward and upward to the next 25 Years and Beyond!

Eagle Alert: Our Pre-K scholars had a ball during their Easter egg hunt today. We even had some lucky winners who found a golden egg!

Eagle Alert: Yesterday, we hosted our annual Math Day with a little Western Round-Up. Our scholars “saddled up” for a fabulous event.

Eagle Alert: Our 1st and 2nd graders took a field trip to the Manship Theatre to see the musical The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System. They had a wonderful time! Manship Theatre at Shaw Center for the Arts

: Fun times at JK Haynes! Last week, we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday & the first day of Read Across America Week. The theme was Theodore Thursday. Scholars dressed as their favorite Dr. Seuss character or wore red.

Eagle Alert: Our Pre-K scholars had a lot of visitors stop by to read to them. We appreciate Alumnus and NBA player Langston Galloway and Attorney Caulette Jackson Guillard for showing our scholars some love.
