Students at Woodlawn High were completing lab stations and investigating the different properties of water! At each station they were given a task that illustrated a property of water (adhesion, cohesion, surface tension, polarity, heat capacity, etc.). They recorded observations and wrote explanations for the phenomenon using their new 1.1 vocabulary. EBR Schools .schools Woodlawn High School

Woodlawn High science classes are the place to be! Gifted and Great Scholars students in Mrs. Brommer's AP Biology class completed an animal behavior lab! Students created choice chambers that exposed Superworms to different environmental stimuli (presence of food, light vs dark, temperature, moisture levels, etc) and collected observational data on the movement of the worms to determine if it was kinesis(random movement) or taxis (response to stimuli). Next class we will use Chi-Squares and Standard Deviation to determine the statistical significance of our data and draw our final conclusions. .schools EBR Schools Woodlawn High School
