We are officially done with LSUPL fall 2025 tryouts! Thank to everyone who came to tryout!
This is the official fan page for the LSU Powerlifting Club. The Powerlifting Team at LSU was founded in 1999 by a core group of 11 members.
Through several years of hard work and dedication, LSU Powerlifting has grown to be one of the best teams in the country. We are proud of the seven National Championships we have earned and hope to continue this legacy. It’s official! LSUPL’s fall 2025 tryout dates are set. Tryouts will take place on September 2nd and 4th from 6-9 in the UREC powerlifting room.
The squat, bench, and deadlift will each be tested according to the usapl competition standards.

Two of our spring members were able to get their first LSUPL meet under their belts
Ava Harrington, one of our 75kg women competed at Louisiana State Games. She totaled 333kg and matched a pr in deadlift.
Wyatt Clakeley competed at Battle of the strongest in Baton Rouge as an 82.5kg, matching a pr on deadlift at 237.5kg

The top LSUPL DOTS scores from Collegiate Nationals 2025.
climbs his way onto the men’s list with a nationally ranked 9th place 60 KG finish as a freshman. .lifts makes the list with a solid national meet debut.
44kg reigns atop the women’s list as the 44 KG national champion, while .kg joins an exclusive club as the third current member of the women’s roster to earn a 400 DOTS.
And finally, freshman finishes with the highest overall DOTS as a freshman lifter, finishing 7th place in the 90 KG weight class.
The future is bright.

LSU Powerlifting is starting Collegiate Nationals by taking a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP back to the 225!

Collegiate Nationals is set to begin TOMORROW with over 10 LSUPL lifters stepping on stage on day one.

In less than a week some of Louisiana’s strongest will be headed to Oklahoma City to usher in LSU’s return to the national stage.
With the work everyone has been putting in, there will be something exciting to see during every single session featuring an LSUPL member.

We conclude our Meet the Lifter posts with our men’s 90-110 KG weightclasses. These classes feature FOUR 600 pound squatters and a roster of lifters you can always expect to put on an absolute show on the platform.

Our next Meet the Lifter features our male 75 KGs along with our 82.5 KG weightclass, which is the most populous LSUPL weightclass. Featured here are lifters who are set to make a huge impact next week in OKC, along with young lifters with plenty of potential.
