ULM has partnered with StudyNPlay to pilot a new program designed to support student-parents as they work toward earning their degrees and building their careers.

Through this partnership, ULM will create a dedicated on-campus space where student-parents can focus on their studies while their children engage in supervised learning and play nearby, helping remove barriers and create new pathways to success.

This initiative reflects ULM’s continued commitment to meeting students where they are and providing resources that help them persist, graduate, and transition into the workforce. We’re excited to see the impact this partnership will have on our campus and community!

We've reached a fair and equitable agreement with Conference USA, our partner for 13 years. The move to the Sun Belt Conference in July is one that will benefit the health and well-being of our student athletes, the fiscal stability of our athletics department, and the economic vitality of our entire region. Dr. Ramesh Kolluru is the sole finalist for president of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette following a unanimous vote of the Presidential Search Committee on Tuesday. He has served as the University’s interim president since November.

Kolluru will be interviewed by the full University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors on Friday. The special meeting will be livestreamed on the UL System YouTube channel at https://bit.ly/4rHCmsW. If selected, Kolluru — a two-time graduate of the University — would be his alma mater’s seventh president.

Last week, we wrapped up From Policy to Practice, a powerful two-day UL System Title IX Summit filled with insight, collaboration, and practical strategies to strengthen Title IX implementation across our institutions.

A highlight of the event was a powerful panel discussion where state and campus leaders explored how Title IX and Power-Based Violence initiatives are shaping safer, student-centered environments across Louisiana.
