ππ Safety Remains a Top Priority at St. James ππ
At St. James Episcopal Day School, creating a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and community is always a top priority. We are proud to once again host ALICE Active Shooter Response Certification Training on July 27β28 on our campus.
This two-day Train-the-Trainer certification course equips participants with proactive, options-based strategies designed to increase survivability during violent critical incidents. Attendees will include law enforcement officers, school leaders, safety personnel, and business professionals from across our region.
ALICE Training is supported by more than 4,200 law enforcement agencies nationwide and aligns with recommendations from the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, and the U.S. Department of Education. Participants will leave prepared to train others and help build safer schools, workplaces, and communities.
We know that safety is a shared responsibility, and we are honored to provide opportunities for leaders throughout our community to learn, prepare, and empower others.

ππ Summer Camp is in Full Swing at St. James! ππ
The creativity has been overflowing in Ms. Haganβs Art Camp, where campers have been proving that cardboard is anything but boring! π¨β¨
From imaginative masks and colorful duck ponds to unique creations all their own, students have been learning how to turn simple materials into works of art. Along the way, they've explored the creative process, from developing an idea to bringing it to life, while learning techniques for cutting, building, and designing with cardboard.
And as these photos show, they've even found ways to make cleanup fun! π
Thereβs nothing better than seeing these smiling faces and creative minds filling our campus with joy all summer long.
Happy Summer, Pelicans! βοΈππ
